The Ingredients

Far too often people unknowingly use soaps that can damage and irritate their skin.
Soaps and Dreams’ mission is to make consumers more aware of the harmful chemicals they are putting on their skin by using certain soaps and to make them aware of the health and wellbeing benefits of soaps made with only the best 100% natural, pure ingredients.
At Soaps and Dreams, we pride ourselves on the fact that NO petrochemicals, SLS Parabens, artificial colourants or additives are used in any of our soaps. You don’t need to thank us……but your skin will.
So……what are the health and wellbeing benefits of our natural ingredients?
Shea Butter - Superfood for your skin!
Shea butter is the ivory butter that is extracted from the nuts of the shea tree, native to Africa. The nuts are roasted to release the precious liquid inside and then it is hand kneaded until it becomes a smooth creamy butter. This rich butter is incredibly moisturising, a skincare saviour for dry, cracked skin. It delivers essential fatty acids and nutrients, providing intensive hydration and protection for your skin. It can help soften skin and keep it feeling supple and smooth. Shea Butter literally is a superfood for your skin!
The Organic Unrefined Shea Butter we use in our soaps is a premium quality food grade product. Raw, pure and unrefined, hand kneaded Organic Ghanaian Shea Butter, beautifully soft and nourishing with that distinctive nutty aroma.

Olive Oil - Top 5 Benefits:

Naturally anti-aging - Containing polyphenols and oleic acid, olive oil is an effective anti-ager, working to improve skin tone and texture, and combat the signs of aging.

Suitable for all skin types - Olive oil soap and other products can be used by everyone, from babies to the elderly, and are suitable for all skin types. Olive oil is hypoallergenic, which means it won’t cause a nasty reaction when applied to skin.

Promotes healthy skin - Rich in antioxidants, olive oil contributes to healthier skin by reversing oxidation and repelling damage-causing, unnatural free radicals responsible for breakouts, diseases and health problems. Oxidation occurs when free radicals infect the body and while there is no cure, there are means of managing oxidation levels, such as by using olive oil soap and products.

Vitamin-rich - A natural source of essential vitamins, olive oil contains nutrients vital to helping you feel and look your best. Rich in vitamins A and E, olive oil can boost your immunity and help improve the appearance of your skin.

Soothes skin conditions - Living with dry skin conditions like eczema or a problematic complexion as a result of acne can be difficult; olive oil is a known remedy for all kinds of skin complaints, moisturizing dry patches and penetrating the skin without clogging pores.

Palm Oil - Great benefits include:

-
It is full of vitamins and minerals that are very healthy for your body. These vitamins are full of antioxidants that protect your body from diseases and infections.

-
It is great for your hair and scalp. It is quickly absorbed by your hair and scalp to restore and improve your hair quality.

-
It’s a great moisturiser. If you have dry skin, palm oil is a great way to hydrate, moisturize, and protect. The oil protects against the temperature and dryness of the air around you to keep your skin fresh.

-
It also helps as an anti-aging supplement. Palm oil in soap refreshes your skin and helps it maintain its elasticity. This keeps wrinkles to a minimum and helps your skin to glow and shine.

Kaolin Clay:

Kaolin clay has many benefits. In short, it helps withdraw any toxins and impurities in the skin and helps the skin retain moisture. If you have oily skin, kaolin clay helps to absorb extra oil, but is mild enough that it will not dry your skin out.

Rhassoul Clay

The name "Rhassoul" is derived from the Arabic word "Rassala" which means "to wash". The people of Morocco have used Rhassoul Clay since the 8th Century to cleanse their skin and keep it radiant. Rhassoul Clay is mined from the Atlas Mountains, where millions of years of geothermal activity have formed ghassoulite, the minertal deposit that makes up Rhassoul. The minerals in rhassoul clay makes it highly effective in removing bacteria and toxins from the skin.|
Rhassoul Clay Benefits:

- Potent detoxifier - The minerals in rhassoul clay makes it highly effective in removing bacteria and toxins from the skin.
- Natural cleanser – Rhassoul acts on the skin’s surface and removes excess dirt and sebum, allowing your pores to breathe. That means that you’ll see a reduction in acne, blackheads and pimples.
- Exfoliant and clarifier – The mineral composition of rhassoul clay helps to reduce skin dryness and improve skin clarity. It does this by removing layers of dead skin and unclogging the pores.
- Anti-ageing treatment – Ageing is inevitable. But the silica in rhassoul clay helps to stimulate collagen production, which reverses the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines caused by ageing.
- Shampoo substitute – Rhassoul clay benefits not only the skin but also the hair. Dandruff and dry scalp is a problem for many people, but the hydrating and exfoliating properties of rhassoul clay can keep those annoying flakes away.
