Black Pepper Soap with Dead Sea Salt and Bladderwrack Seaweed
I love this soap. Making it made me super happy. I love the colours and the recipe is one of the absolute best you'll ever find for a cold process soap.
Bladderwrack is a type of seaweed that’s rich in vitamins and minerals, such as calcium, iodine, magnesium, potassium, sodium, zinc, and vitamins A and C. It’s also high in phytochemicals. These health-promoting plant compounds, which include phlorotannins and fucoxanthin, may help lower oxidative stress — an imbalance between free radical and antioxidant levels in your body.
This is the soap recipe that made gave me the confidence to start Soaps and Dreams. Any good cold process soap should clean well, not dry the skin, and have a noticeable fragrance. Mostly importantly, there should be plenty of lather and big bubbles. This is most people’s complaint about homemade soap, and this recipe takes care of it! Lightly but beautifully fragranced.
